World Cup quarter finals..

8 teams among them 6 former champions, now that’s what u might call the ‘Clash of the Titans’. I am talking about the Quarter Finals of the World Cup 2006. Most of the teams with high hopes have made it to the last 8. The likes of Ukraine and Portugal might appear to be minnows there, but they are teams who can upset any other team on their day. After all the passion and drama of the group stages it’s now the final stages of the knockout round. The interesting thing is that still world football is dominated by Europe with Latin America still holding onto their fort. Africa, Asia, Australasia, North America still struggling to establish themselves in this game which is often dubbed as a global sports.
Ideally I would like to see an Argentina Brazil final. And I will support Argentina for sure. But with France and Germany improving with every match it’s difficult to predict who will go to the next round. All I would like, is to see is some engrossing games of FootBall.
