Rethinking India.

Well our politicians and politics never seem to end. Just when everyone’s focus was on the world cup THIS happened (see PICS). Well I do admit that vandalizing a statue is very bad and can be termed as a crime but that doesn’t empower a group of people to go in a rampage and destroy public property running into lacs of rupees. The most surprising thing is that when one of their ministers was asked about his reaction he told that it’s their followers who are showing their emotional outburst and that he or the party can’t do anything about it. Come on Sir you can obviously tell them to keep things under their control. But who cares for the public anyway all that matters is how much political mileage you can gain from it. The situation reminds me of the movie “NAYAK” where a leader lets the whole city burn in order to save his own chair. These politicians should realize that Mumbai needs a relief from the incessant rainfall and it can’t afford to burn the way its doing now. The next thing I fear is some communal color would be given to the whole issue and it will be used in the BMC election! Sigh! Many common men will die but I guess Indian politics have become such farce only.
I am really not sure where the politicians are taking this country. They are targeting education, health department and dividing the country on the lines of caste. Films and social issues are curbed on the pretext of religion; criminals walk with their collars high or become a politician, money and corruption has become the brother of political scenario. I think the time has come to rethink about this:
“WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;
and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION”
