Danish Diary-2
The City of Aarhus
Aarhus has been certainly entertaining for me for the past couple of days. When I had arrived into the city I had no Hotel reservation so I took a cab to city centrum and stayed is Hotel Royal.
This place is fun considering its room have a Royal touch to it. Its kinda medival from the décor but yet have the Casino and a underground pub to entertain guests. But that was short stay for me as soon I had to move to Hotel Scandic in Rytoften, well this is going to be my address for the next couple of month.

This is a view from my hotel window.
My office is in Dusager , its nice and spacious with lots of nice people to work with.Below is a pic of my office and its adjacent area. The whole place is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its a quiet and peaceful environment to work in.
I think to sum up the description of this city the two pictures below would be very suitable.

Danish Diary-1
The Journey- A new beining
24 Hours 4 flights 3 halts and 2 continents that’s how I can summarize my trip toDenmark . The trip was very tiring yet a good leaning experience. The trip from Mumbai to Amsterdam was really tiring especially when the whole flight was filled with crying babies. Jokes apart the crying babies really kept all of us awake for all night. In the morning I reached Amsterdam and wow the place rocks…Its huge and really mind boggling. Of course the fact that it’s a open country makes it real interesting. I made a couple of interesting friends, one girl who is supposed to be a ballet dancer and a French priest who works in some African country...With them my passage to Copenhagen was really smooth. Three of us had nice and interesting conversations. From Copenhagen it took just about half and hour to reach Ã…arhus. It was a love at first sight…I fell in love with this place the moment I landed here. I had arrived at an medieval era .
The picture of Netaji Subhash Airport Kolkata. My maiden onsite journey started from here.
The jet Airways flight at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai
The Schipole Airport Amsterdam
Inside the Airport at Amsterdam where i almost got lost finding the way through the maze of tunnels
This is the Copenhagen Airport,KLM seemed to have built a fort there.
The lobby inside the Copenhagen Airport where i had to walk for a kilometer to catch the domestic flight to Aarhus
Copenhagen Airport from the outside
The Aarhus Airport.Small and Beutiful

Mr Pluto gussa kyon hote ho...
Even today I was not assured of my flight to Denmark. They said may be tomorrow I might get the visa and then I might fly to Denmark. So much for learning future tense from school days. Above all these ‘may’s and might’s’ the most important one is the availability of flight about which I know nothing, they are telling there is a huge rush via Delhi so I may have to fly via Mumbai. I hope Mr Pluto doesnot cause any more deviation tomorrow. He is definately angry of loosing his status. On top of that requests keep pouring in, ’please bring a bottle of French perfume’, ’please bring a few euro coins’, ‘please bring me a Swiss watch’ and even I had the request of bringing in a Swiss knife, God there is high chance I may be detained as a terrorist on my flight back home. What am I telling I haven’t even started yet!! Too many plans I guess. The reality is as usual, harsh.

1st Hurdle....
Traveling has never been smoother for me. Just when I had thought I had seen the worse it comes back with a rejuvenated vigor. My trip to Denmark couldn’t have got off to a smoother start. Today when I thought I would get my visa and travel tomorrow, I just got the news that due to some processing delays I will get my visa on Tuesday morning and have to fly on that evening. Hmm so much for my first onsite trip. Hope so that nothing more will happen along my journey. Although I am scared that I may land up loosing my luggage. It’s a ‘Luggage Phobia’ I guess.
By the way let me give you a small introduction of the place which is going to be my home for the next couple of month. I would stay in a city called Ã…arhus in Denmark. This is the second largest city of Denmark. I will be staying in Hotel Scandik at Rytoften and my office will be in Dusager. That’s all I know. Actually I know nothing, all idea I have about the city are just a few snapshots taken by my seniors who visited the place last winter. So lots of things to see and learn. Only if my journey goes without any further hiccups. Specially after Pluto have been stripped off its planetary status my astrology seems to have gone haywire lets hope it won't become worse.
